How to read
what opens
Nothing above picks a path for you. Opening a complaint shows every cause the chart records for it — usually several — and each of those can be opened in turn. Where you stop is your own descent, not a route chosen here.
Every node is one of three things, and the difference is structural, not rhetorical. A page declares which it is; the topology audits the claim, and mismatches are recorded as findings rather than quietly corrected.
- Symptom
- Something you can point at. It has causes; it isn't one.
- Mechanism
- The machinery in between — caused by something, and causing something else. Each of these pages states the strongest case for the thing it criticises before it criticises it.
- Root
- Where the causal chain bottoms out: cited as a cause, with no cause recorded beneath it.
Findings

No Root node was chosen in advance. Every recorded cause points somewhere, and when many separate complaints or conditions trace down to the same deeper cause, a Root node is revealed. They are ranked according to how many causal claims converge down upon them; as sources are added, rankings may change.

Method
- A link means causation.Never "these feel related." If there is no one-line reason the first thing drives the second, the edge doesn't exist.
- Each page lists only its causes.Effects are read back off the links pointing in, so no claim is ever recorded twice — or counted twice.
- Criticism follows the steelman.Every mechanism states the best case for what it attacks, at full strength, first.
- Sparse beats decorative.An empty query result is a finding, not a bug. Nothing is added to a chain to make it look complete.
